Aasaan Dil – A Soft Heart in a Hard World

Listen on Apple Music

It has started to dawn, day by day, moment by moment, this realisation keeps settling in me that life exists in the now and all time, faith and hope is essentially fiction.

And I think I wrote Aasaan Dil to get this message delivered to myself. You know how we need to be reminded over and over about the same thing, I guess that is the reason I write songs.

Aasaan Dil gets me, it gets how I feel, how even with this excruciating pain of existence and bruises and wounds of a deeper past, life still holds that grace and virtue as ever. The other day a friend of mine mentioned as-is-it-ness, for this moment and only this moment, and that the seed shall grow on its own.

Why do I need to needlessly put myself under this emotional burden of pain? I can observe it, feel it, know it better, try to heal it, and not waste my time contemplating of better times, or better people, or satisfying expectations.

Aasaan Dil has served me joy and a subtle hint to stay focussed in the now, realise the tenderness of my being, and look deeply towards people, far beyond their dresses and complications.

We are easy beings. Life is easy.

I hope this song brings you joy and a sense of contentment in just existing. You are important, and you are very much needed!

Love and peace, as always…

Brief

Some hearts are meant to be simple. They feel deeply, love easily, and trust without hesitation. But the world has its way of complicating what should be effortless. Over time, that softness starts to feel like a burden, and we begin to wonder—was the heart always this fragile, or did life make it so?

“Aasaan Dil” is born from that feeling. It’s for the ones who’ve felt their emotions were too much for this world. The ones who’ve had to hide their tenderness behind composure, who’ve learned to wear masks even when their hearts still beat in raw, unfiltered honesty.

With stripped-down melodies and intimate storytelling, this song isn’t just something to listen to—it’s something to feel. It’s the weight of unspoken words, the quiet ache of being misunderstood, the delicate balance between holding on and letting go.

💙 If you’ve ever felt like your heart understands things the world refuses to see, this song is for you.

Translation

It stays distant, quietly resentful,
This simple heart—so fragile, so weak.
Unwilling to listen, to speak,
Drowned in voices, now lost in noise.

Fear lingers—will life, in solitude,
Ever pass without regret?
How will they ever understand,
When truth itself is suffocated?

Masters of deception cast their blame,
While dreams are willingly set aflame.
Flowers wither in unwritten pages,
Solemnity stands unshaken, unchanged.

Broken, defeated—how much more?
The river flows, yet the shore remains.
This heart, barren, restless, lost,
A star in an ink-dark sky,
Yet its message remains justified.

There is a grace in being tired,
in being manifested as a week, torn, tattered, a shattered version of yourself.

Yet, not in its essence but as a narrative, this presentation is fake.

But there is grace in being devoid of glamour, or charm,
being driven beyond glories and flatteries,
it is tender, but the grace does exist.

During the experience tour, when I was being consistently pushed in the most daring, challenging and almost self-defying ways,
that it dawned across the horizon, that the point of being alive is to just exist.

Where in this bare and simple experience of living, did I shackle myself with boundaries, joys, greif, glories, success, and shame?

This portrait holds a remarkable value as a memoir, as a diction, as a reminder to be in the flow, to surrender, to just be.

Aasaan Dil is a sonic interpretation of exactly this feeling – discovering freedom in pain.
