Freedom to express, to create without dictation, to experiment with rigour, to fail with glory, to succeed and forget – for an artist, independence is the only true rule she lives by. To push it beyond a metaphor, she is obliged to be free. Independence from the ideas of virtues and vices is her muse.
A ‘genius’ is a ridicule, nothing is ever stupid, no question ever vain, all attempts to declutter the brain and all excuses to procrastinate, everything for the artist is an art-form. The essence of actual act lies in the process alone, and the artist herself is the real art.
The transformation of her self from an idea of an identity into that which has no existence at all; the true abstract purpose of art is to lose herself, and it can only be ever achieved if she knows the true meaning of independence, and exercises her will to invoke freedom and detachment from all labels and terms and genres.
Are you making the art that you want to, or are you feeding this beast called social media? Ever so slightly changing your methods to fit into a system – a reel, a viral post, a cunningly edited video, a 15 second posthumous necessity, for that faded, ever-romantic idea of acknowledgement and security.
Take a break and question yourself – are you truly free?
